Mutual Fund investment is nowadays becoming a common practice as people aim for profits other than their earnings. Mutual Fund is one of the busiest marketplaces as it is crowded with investors buying, selling and switching shares on a daily basis. Well, all such transactions need verification from related mutual fund houses.

It is the prime duty of the mutual fund house to maintain and process the huge database of transactions done by investors on a daily basis. Are they capable of doing such a hectic task or do they outsource such tasks? If they outsource the task then who is responsible for accomplishing the task?

Mutual Fund houses alone cannot manage the processing of the transactions done by investors. They assign the job to the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA). RTA on behalf of the mutual fund house maintains the records of the financial and non-financial transactions by investors and provides investment-related assistance to the investor clientele of the company.
